Guidelines For Grant Submittal

If, after reviewing the Mission Statement, there is sufficient reason to believe that the Coryell Foundation's funding priorities and interests are compatible with the needs of the organization seeking support, then a brief Grant Submittal should be submitted to the Vice President of Grants.

All Grant Submittals will be given an in-depth screening to determine their relevance to the Foundation's funding priorities and interests. In most instances, written responses will be sent to the applicant.

There are 3 methods you may submit your request

If you have a copy of your IRS 501(c)(3) ruling as a file that you can send electronically such as a .PDF or image file (.gif or .jpg), use this form:
If you do not have a digital copy of your IRS 501(c)(3) ruling, use the link to the right and fill out the form, print it and mail both to the address below. (The free Adobe Acrobat Reader is required)

Otherwise, on the letterhead of the applicant organization or institution, the following information must be included in the Grant Submittal:

  • Any of the following not included on the organization's letterhead:   Organization's legal name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, telephone and fax numbers, email and Web site address, if available.
  • A brief description of the organization.
  • A brief description of the project for which funding is sought.
  • The total cost of the project for which funding is sought.
  • The amount requested from the Coryell Family Foundation. The Foundation expects all applicant organizations to show substantial support from internal sources as well as other outside sources.
  • First time applicants must include a copy of the IRS 501(c)(3) ruling for the organization or institution.
  • Optional:  One copy of any supporting data may accompany the Grant Submittal.  Videotapes are not encouraged and will not be returned if sent.

Please limit the above information to not more than two pages; brevity and clarity are appreciated.

The Foundation does not accept Grant Submittals by fax.
